System Weather Study
Concept study
A dashboard read as weather. Metric cards are records bound through bindData();
the Attention Weather pattern turns each card's heat and
pressure into field state, so hot or overloaded metrics gain weight and calm regions stay quiet —
still a legible grid with the field off.
Data honesty
- Data source
- Synthetic. The metric cards, their heat and pressure values, and the anomalies are hand-authored sample records — not a real monitoring feed.
- Snapshot
- Fixed sample data defined in-page; no committed snapshot and no snapshot script feeds this study.
- Live refresh
- No external data, so no live refresh. The field re-settles as you toggle it or reduce motion.
- Not claimed
- The field turns supplied heat and pressure into weather. It does not monitor a real system or decide what is healthy — the metric values are illustrative inputs.
bindData().inspect() — records · bodies · edges.Field off stops the simulation and the cards read as a plain grid — different from turning a single projection off, where the field keeps running and only one drawn expression stops.
Patterns applied
Each is a real FieldPattern from the catalog. The ones marked
live are driven through applyPattern() on this page; the
rest are the conceptual family this study embodies.
